| Xi´an is the capital of Shaanxi Province, is located in the middle of the Weihe Plain, with the Weihe River in the north and the Qinling Range in the south. It serves as the center for politics, economy, and culture in northwestern China. There are cultural heritages witnessing social progresses at different stages. So fare, more than 120,000 relics have been brought to light from 4,000 ancient ruins and tombs. Famous tourist attractions include the Xi'an City Wall, the Stele Forest, the Greater Wild Goose Pagoda, the Drum-and-Bell Tower, the Great Mosque, the ruins of Afang Palace, and the mauseoleum of Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty. |

Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses The pit is located 1.5km east of the mausoleum of Emperor Qin shihuang and measures 230 meters from east to west, 62 meters from north to south, and five meters deep. There are 6,000 life-sized terra-cotta warriors and horses, 100 chariots, and 30,00 weapons. With weapons in their hands, the warriors line in a phalanx, solemn and awe-inspiring. It is reputed as the World's Largest Military Museum and the Eighth Wonder, and has been put on the World Cultural Heritage List. |

Big Wild Goose Pagoda One of Xi'an famous pagodas. It is located at the southern end of Yanta Road outside Heping Gate. It was first erected in 752, the 3rd year of Emperor Gaozong during the Tang Dynasty and was rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty. A seven-storied brick structure, it is 64.1 meters tall and features tradional Chinese architectural style. It is a symbolic structure of Xi'an and a relic under state protection. |

Shaanxi Provincial Museum Located adjacent to the Greater Wild Goose Pagoda, it is a state-level modern museum, with an area of 70,000 square meters and a floor space of 56,000 square meters. Built after the model of the Tang Dynasty, it is elegant and imposing. The museum collects a total of 113,000 relics unearthed locally, of which 3,000 are on display. Among the exhibits, 40 are bright-colored murals from the Tang tombs. |

Ming Dynasty City Wall It is the largest, best-preserved ancient castle in the world. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it is rectangular, 13.7km in girth, with 5,984 crenels. On each side of the wall there is a gate, on top of which are watchtower, enceinte, and other structures. The city wall is surrounded by a moat with a tree belt lying in between, with pavilions, terraces, and towers-forming a large park around the city. |

Hua Qing Chi
Lying at the northern foot of Mt. Lishan in the Lintong District, 30 km east of Xi'an, it has been a famous tourist attraction concerning bathing since ancient times. There are pavilions, terraces, towers, and zigzagging corridors surrounded by ancient cypresses and pines.
