ITINERARY

Day 1 Vancouver - Narita

You begin your adventure. Depart Vancouver or from your hometown with connection via Vancouver on Japan Airlines to Narita. En-route you will cross the International Dateline.

Day 2 Narita - Tokyo

Arrive Narita International Airport, transfer to hotel in Tokyo.

Day 3 Tokyo

This morning, visit the Meiji Shinto Shrine, Imperial Palace East Garden, Asakusa Kannon Temple & Nakamise Shopping Arcade. After lunch, you will take a Tokyo Bay cruise "Symphony" followed by a visit to Odaiba Area. (L)

Day 4 Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo

This morning, visit the Nikko Toshogu Shrine. After lunch, drive through the Irohazaka and enjoy the view of the Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Waterfall. Via Irohazaka zigzag driveway down the mountains and drive back to Tokyo. Tour disbands on arrival at Ginza or Shinjuku for shopping. (L)

Day 5 Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone

Today, take a coach ride to visit Fuji Visitor Center and Mt. Fuji 5th Station. After lunch, proceed to Hakone for a cruise on Lake Ashi and Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway. (L)

Day 6 Hakone - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto

This morning, you will be transferred to Odawara Station and connect the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Kyoto Station. After lunch, proceed to Nara and visit the Todaiji Temple with Great Buddha and Nara Park. Visit the Kasuga Shrine before returning to Kyoto. (L)

Day 7 Kyoto

A full day sightseeing in Kyoto today. Visit the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace. After lunch, visit the Sanjusangendo, Heian Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple. (L)

Day 8 Kyoto - Hiroshima - Kyoto

A full day excursion to Hiroshima and sightsee the Itsukushima Shrine and Peace Memorial Park/A-Bomb Dome.

Day 9 Kyoto

Free at leisure in Kyoto today.

Day 10 Kyoto - Itami - Narita - Vancouver

Transfer to Itami Airport in Osaka for your flight back home with an immediate connection in Narita. It is the same day when you arrive home as you will re-cross the International Dateline.
